Welcome! Zach Blackwood here. I’m an IT pro by day, photographer and woodworker by night. I currently reside on the beautiful Oregon Coast in the Newport area with my amazing wife and two pups (MinPin and a Doberman). Just an average dude with a love and passion for adventure. Hiking, soccer (Go Timbers!), biking, technology, woodworking and photography are all things you can find me doing and enjoying. There is no shortage of awe-inspiring scenes here in the PNW and I can’t imagine calling any other place home.
If you spend any time with me, you’ll find that my love for photography, woodworking and technology seems to take up most of my time. I love to pick up new gadgets and try out new services. Visiting scenic locations everywhere I travel is always on my to-do list. More recently after purchasing our house, I’ve been diving headfirst into wood working. I love to build things it turns out. I’ve completed a few projects at home such as a sliding Barndoor, end table, in-set mirror frame and a coffee table top.
Are you one of those people that says hi to everyone on the trail? Stops and talks with strangers? If you’ve ever ran into me on when out and about, odds are we would find ourselves doing just that. Going on adventures and photo trips lends itself to meeting some incredible people. You never know who you may run into and it’s always great finding like minded people who share the love for the outdoors.
I have a great desire to capture the beauty and personalities of everything and everyone I shoot. Whether it be an individual, a couple, a family, or a landscape, my goal is to create an atmosphere and moment that everyone will love, laugh and remember forever.
You can find me on most of the social networks out there, though I am most active on Instagram and Facebook.
Check out my other two places online as well.
Blackwood Builds – where my wife and I showcase our projects and crafts!
ZLB Photography – My business side of being a photographer where I do Real Estate, Photobooths and Portrait work.
Now it’s time to get out there and maybe we’ll run into each other on the trail!
